After nearly three weeks up in Spell Damage, I'm now trying to decide which ward, this or Creature Induced, has the more interesting emergencies. The seven-year-old boy who tied a string around his billywig-stung five-year-old sister's ankle like she was a balloon, or the six-year-old who got hold of daddy's wand and transfigured her nose into a rose on accident.

If you had asked me even just a month ago, I would have said that, at least in terms of my personal life, 1980 surely could never top 1979. After all, I married the love of my life in 1979. How can 1980 possibly top that? Just off the top of my head, I can think of a really great way that 1980 will be topping 1979.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful and safe New Year's, and I would also like to mention that there is still one night remaining in the full moon cycle, so please do stay inside tonight, as well. Just because the last two nights were quiet doesn't mean tonight will be ... it probably means tonight will be horrible.

As a means of identifying victims of horrible crimes, I believe that the ID cards are a wonderful idea, and I wonder why they had never come up before. I don't entirely understand why blood status would have to be included, but I'm willing to give the Ministry the benefit of a doubt; for now, anyway.
